Amazing Photos : Richard Avedon

Known as one of the most controversial however amazing photographer, Richard Avedon and his work opened a new avenue for creativity in the art of photography. His work was different, breathtaking, and at times a bit bitter for the eyes. In his work of portraiture, he tried to capture what was deeper than their skin. He took pictures of  many famous people such as Marilyn Monroe, The Beetles, Marian Anderson, and Barbara Streisand. I fell in love with his work while watching a documentary of Avedon and his works. Here are a few of many of his photos that I love:

Marilyn Monroe- After taking a series of photos of her, Avedon found Monroe sitting  quietly, with a lost expression. He approached her, and snapped this photo.
